Hi, I have a great experience with Twitter, sharing documents and resources on my web sites and building brand awareness. The derivative benefit of the traffic I get has made a big impact on site traffic and overall reducing my PPC budget. Thanks Twitter. Rgds Vince

Spot on. Targeting and nurturing your Twitter growth is a worthwhile investment of time resources. Even if it is just a short burst everyday or so.

There is no point in blindly chasing followers and hoping they will follow back. If you target who you go for, the chances are it is based upon a commonality of interest. If you and your tweets are interesting and on topic enough, people will climb over themselves to follow you.

As for using alert systems, we featured a blog post recently about using Tweetdeck as a means of monitoring your company or brand online but as people we have reputations to manage also and so the article's idea is very transferable. If it is of interest to you, please do have a read
